Pennsylvania Power (Penn Power) will be receiving around U.S. $128 million from FirstEnergy Corp. for transmission and distribution projects to enhance reliability.
Major projects for 2017 include replacing transformers, breakers and relays at several substations at a cost of more than $9 million, and rebuilding and/or replacing several miles of 69 kV transmission lines.
Last year, FirstEnergy spent around U.S. $125 million on enhancements in the Penn Power area.
